FORTUNE REIMAGINED

Custom Corporate Red Packet Design
for Mascots and Brand Characters

Many companies already have an established mascot or brand character but struggle to incorporate it naturally into their Chinese New Year marketing.

Instead of creating an entirely new illustration from scratch, we can transform one of our exclusive red packet concepts into a customised corporate red packet that feels original while retaining your brand identity.

This project demonstrates how we adapted our existing in-house red packet design for Kikkoman Singapore, replacing the original lucky cat with Kikona, their official mascot.

The Challenge

When designing a corporate red packet, businesses need to balance originality, brand recognition, production budget, and tight Chinese New Year timelines. For Kikkoman, the objective was to create a festive red packet that celebrated the Lunar New Year while keeping their beloved mascot, Kikona, at the heart of the design. The artwork also needed to reflect Kikkoman's friendly brand personality and remain practical for high-quality commercial printing.

Our Approach

Rather than creating a completely new illustration, we customised one of our exclusive in-house concepts by replacing the original lucky cat with Kikona, redrawing the pose to better reflect the mascot's personality, and refining the colours and decorative elements to align with Kikkoman's brand identity. While preserving the original composition for maximum visual impact, we seamlessly integrated the mascot into the artwork, resulting in a custom red packet that feels purpose-built for Kikkoman rather than simply placing a mascot onto an existing design.

Why adapt an existing design?

Custom artwork doesn't always have to start from scratch. By adapting one of our exclusive in-house Chinese New Year designs, businesses can enjoy a faster design process, lower development costs, and a professionally refined concept that's tailored to their brand.

Faster Design Process

Because the composition has already been developed, revisions focus primarily on the mascot and branding.

Lower Design Cost

A customised adaptation generally requires fewer illustration hours than commissioning a completely original artwork.

Proven Design

Existing concepts have already been refined for balance, print quality and visual appeal.

Brand Recognition

Your mascot becomes the hero while retaining all the unqiue symbolism associated with Chinese New Year.
